Pre-Registration begins on
June 22nd in the parish office.
If your child is receiving the Sacraments this school year, you must provide
a copy of his or her Baptismal Certificate at the time of registration.
Please have payment and certificate at the time of registration as I will no
longer be registering children without them.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays 3:30 – 5:00 pm.
A snack will be provided for your child each week.
For the safety of your children please pick them up promptly at the end of
class.
If your child is unable to attend class, please notify Miss CeCe at the
parish office, 831-0490.
The sacrament of Holy
Communion and Reconciliation are a two year program starting in the first
grade. Second graders that have successfully completed this two year
preparation will receive these sacraments. Attendance is a must. Two
absences per year are allowed. Illness does not count, however you will
need to contact the office if your child is going to be absent.
Volunteers Needed: If you
feel that it is your calling and would like to help teach our beautiful
Catholic faith to our children of our parish, please call Miss CeCe at the
parish office 831-0490.
Grades 6th through 9th Religious Education Information

Pre-registration

September 24th,
2008 and end on May 20th,
2009 in the Parish Hall.
If your teen is receiving
the sacrament of Confirmation in May 2009, you must provide a copy of his or
her Baptismal certificate and Holy Communion certificate at the time of
registration. If your teen was baptized and received Holy Eucharist at St.
Francis, please indicate on the registration form. Please have payment at
the time of registration. The fee this year will be $75 per teen and $150
per family.
On Wednesday,
August 27th,
at 5:30 pm there will be a
mandatory
parent meeting for Confirmation II
parents and students. Registration will take place at this time. Please
mark your calendars for the Confirmation retreat on November 14, 15, and
16. This is a
mandatory
retreat
for confirmation students. It will be held at the church.
Attendance is a
must. Two absences are allowed. Illness does not count, however you will
need to contact the parish office if your teen is going to be absent. A
make up lesson will be assigned to your teen for completion.
We are back in
our newly renovated church and will have classes on Wednesday nights from
6:00 until 7:30 pm. The teens have a new place to
“Hang Out.”
This room will be available to them after school and Wednesday’s before
religious ed. starts. We need parents to volunteer to chaperone in the teen
room when the room is occupied by our teens.
Each week as
part of Religious Ed. your teen will be responsible for bringing a prepared
food item for that week’s dinner. Part o f the teen fellowship is a meal
with their peers each week. We need parents to volunteer to help with
dinner. We need a dinner coordinator for the year, please call the parish
office to volunteer.
We here at St.
Francis are building our teen program. We have a group of wonderful
teachers this year. Please parents give us a hand and volunteer if you can.
You can register
after all Masses on the weekends of August 30th & 31 and September 6th & 7th
or in the Parish Office during the week.
